A neighborhood barber shop on W Northern Ave, run by Hunter. Classic cuts, hot towel shaves, sharp beard work — done right, priced right, with the kind of welcome you only get when the owner is the one in the chair next to you.
Luxury Barber Shop is a small, owner-run shop tucked into the corner of W Northern Ave in north Phoenix. We named it Luxury because we believe a good haircut is one of the most accessible luxuries there is — a half hour where someone takes the time to get the lines straight, the fade clean, and the conversation easy.
The shop is run by Hunter, the barber whose name shows up in nearly every review on the door. Customers come in for a regular cut, a skin fade, an old fashioned hot towel shave, or a beard line up — and they come back because the work is sharp and the chair feels welcoming.
We cut for everyone. Men. Kids under twelve. Seniors over sixty-five (we run that one every day of the week, no exceptions). We do scissor cuts and skin tapers, mohawks and flat tops. We do beard color and brow threading. Whatever brought you in, the goal is the same: you walk out looking your best.
We're not a chain. We're not an app. We're a neighborhood shop with one chair, a hot towel, and a barber who actually remembers your name. That's the whole pitch.
Hunter is the owner and the barber. He's the one most people are asking for by name when they call to book — Google reviewers describe him as "very welcoming," "honest," and someone who "gets down with all" when it comes to fades, scissor cuts, and styling for every hair type.
He keeps the shop simple on purpose: one barber, one chair, one focus. Cuts you'd be proud to walk out of any high-end salon with, at neighborhood prices. The shop's voice — old school style with fresh new flair — is really just his voice.
"Hunter is very welcoming and a great barber. Quality work — come get a fade or regular cut with scissors, he gets down with all."
Lines clean. Fades blended. Scissor work patient. Every cut treated like it's the only one we're doing that day.
No vibe of a chain. No script. You're a name, not a number. That's the whole point of being small.
A $20 cut shouldn't feel like a discount and a premium service shouldn't feel like a gotcha. Senior cuts every day, kids welcome.
A haircut is one of the few places you can sit still for half an hour and walk out looking better. We take that seriously.
A few of the most recent words from the chair, verbatim from Google.
"Amazing service! Very nice serene vibe — does well with black hair as well! Hunter was very amazing! He cut my brothers hair and we definitely will be back! The quality was amazing."
"Got a haircut for $20 — good service and the owner was a nice and honest guy. Thank you Hunter."
"The service was great. The haircut and styling was on point and at a reasonable price."
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. Walk in or call ahead — either way, you'll leave looking your best.
